Since 2023, PSF has hosted its annual Juneteenth Celebration and Scholarship Recognition Program in partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Pi Tau Omega Chapter, the City of Southfield, and the Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce. Over the years, this signature event has grown into one of Southeast Michigan’s most anticipated Juneteenth celebrations — bringing together civic leaders, corporate partners, community members, and scholarship recipients to honor freedom, culture, and the transformative power of education. The event has featured performances by acclaimed artists, visual art showcases, sustainable fashion presentations, African dance and drum, spoken word, and the recognition of outstanding student scholars.
