Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. PSF is proud to participate in this movement by offering the general public an opportunity to donate to our annual scholarship campaign or program campaign. Funds donated stay right in the community! Our programs and community service events impact the Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties with emphasis on the Southfield, Royal Oak and Oak Park communities. Scholarship donations are aggregated to create multiple scholarships awarded locally. Please join in the joy of giving on Tuesday November 28, 2023 and throughout the holiday season. We welcome donations from your company’s Giving Tuesday match program.
PSF Member Donation
For GIVING TUESDAY, November 28, 2023, we are asking our members to donate $19.08 to the PTO Scholarship fund. The Pearls of Service Foundation has over 300 members and our goal is to fund two scholarships in the amount of $1908 each. That means a minimum of 200 members can donate $19.08 each to help reach the goal. Donations above $19.08 are also accepted.
Individual or Family Scholarship
PSF offers individuals and families a way to participate in the the scholarship process. Consider funding a scholarship in your family’s name, group name or individually. No amount is too small! Book awards start at $500 and scholarships can be funded for any amount. At certain levels, you will have the opportunity to participate in the scholarship administration process. This includes providing specific criteria for your scholarship, scholarship application reviews and presentation of your scholarship award at our annual event in June. Annual Giving Corporate Scholarship Campaign
The Pearls of Service Foundation has distributed over $500,000 in scholarships to students in the Oakland, Wayne and Macomb County area since 2006. The foundation provides additional scholarship funds obtained through corporate fundraising. Our scholarship application process is robust and is administered by our scholarship committee. We offer the ability for companies/individuals to tailor their scholarship by adding criteria and being involved in the scholarship review process. Corporations and individuals are encouraged to participate as a scholarship sponsor at the levels listed below or contact us at info@pearlsofservicefoundation.com to create your own scholarship support level.
